WIJI and "Baraonda" at the Vigevano Biennale 2024!

WIJI e "Baraonda" alla Biennale di Vigevano 2024!

The 1st edition of the Vigevano Biennale, entitled " Whispers of Art " and scheduled from April 8 to May 31, 2024, promises to be an unmissable event for lovers of contemporary art and history. An exhibition that transforms the city into an open-air museum, with its squares and historical monuments such as Piazza Ducale, Castello Sforzesco, the Church of San Francesco and the Cathedral of Sant'Ambrogio.

The Sforza Castle of Vigevano, heart of the first 2024 edition of the Biennale

These places, which inspired great artists such as Bramante and Leonardo da Vinci, now offer a living canvas for the expressions of modern art, creating a dialogue between the city's illustrious past and the artists' contemporary visions.

Among others, the Vigevano Art Biennale 2024 announces the presence of works by great artists such as William Turner, Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Juan Gris, Guercino and Fantin-Latour.

These masterpieces, exhibited alongside works by modern artists, form the heart of an exhibition that transcends temporal barriers, creating a dialogue between different eras while revealing the future to the eyes of visitors.

This year, among the hundreds of works present at the exhibition, we from WIJI will also be there, with an installation that brings to the stage a unique and equally significant art element: " Baraonda ". An achievement that does not want to be only a tribute to beauty and creativity, but that also embodies a powerful message of environmental responsibility.

The installation of WIJI and the work "Baraonda" by Andy Bluvertigo, at the Biennale di Vigevano 2024

" Baraonda " is an old surfboard that, under the expert hands of Andy Bluvertigo, has undergone a radical transformation, becoming an icon of style and ecological commitment. The artist has completely repainted the board, infusing it with new life and meaning, transforming it into a vibrant work of art. The work, exhibited until May 31st in our stand inside the Castello Sforzesco, captures the essence of sustainable innovation, representing not only the rediscovery but also the artistic reuse of objects.
The proceeds from the sale of the work will also be entirely donated to PLASTIC FREE ONLUS , an organization dedicated to the fight against plastic pollution, promoting a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

In addition to the exhibition of works, the Biennale includes a series of workshops, conferences and meetings with artists, which allow the public to deepen their understanding of contemporary art and its role in society. In this context, WIJI offers its contribution in illustrating the potential of the union between art and sustainability as a tool for social and personal change.

A unique event, not to be missed.
